If under stipulated time of a year the work is completed, the laying of tracks would only remain thereafter. For this, Rs. 600-700 Cr more is required which if received in the next rail budget, the project will seem to complete by 2017. So far, the track has been a distant dream for the last 5 years.
Besides this, the electrification of Udaipur to Ajmer line is an important achievement.
The Udaipur-Ahmedabad broad gauge project is estimated to be of around Rs. 850 Cr. So far, only Rs. 125 Cr has been received through which 45% of earthwork has been completed and 200 culverts constructed. The entire railway line is of 270 Km.
