Police carried out an anti-encroachment drive in areas falling under the Dhanmandi Police area. Police removed the encroachments outside the shops and confiscated the material lying outside the shops.

The drive was carried out in a joint effort of three station teams along with presence of police force. The drive started from Dhanmandi and after covering Delhi Gate, Nehru Bazaar and Nada Kheda came back to Dhanmandi.

Police informed the shop owners in the area that they would be undertaking the drive every week from now on. In case they find any encroachments, strict action will be taken against the defaulters.
