5th August has been set as the last date for submission of application for distinguished achievement award that are given on 15th August.

Sharing the information, Additional District Collector (City) O.P. Bunkar informed that applications received post 5th Aug will not be considered. He also said that people who have been given the award in the last 5 years will also not be considered.

Divulging further information on the function preparation, he informed that the final rehearsal will be held on 13 August. Arrangements are being made for live telecast of the proceedings at select places in the city. Further, all the state buildings and historical locations will be lit up with decorative lighting.

A meeting to monitor the arrangement status has been scheduled for 8 August.
