Balicha to have Common Bio-Medical Waste Plant

On the mode of Public-Private Partnership, a common medical waste plant will be established at Balicha in which waste coming out from government and private hospitals of rural areas will be properly disposed.

The Secretary of the self-government department Dr. Manjeet Singh in the meeting held at Jaipur decided for this step. In the meet, UIT’s Manish Arora was also present. Including Udaipur, 6 other places will have such facility.

It has been decided that the tender documents will be prepared at Jaipur level. Nagar Nigam will provide the land and will supervise the plant as well.

Presently, the bio-medical waste plant is situated at Umarda for the city hospitals. The plant at balicha will take waste coming from rural hospitals, including that coming from Rajsamand and Chittor.

It is to be considered that there is no proper waste disposal plant in rural areas due to which many animals are dying. Also, the problems rise during rainy season.
