People commuting through Bhuwana Road, passing by Sukher Industrial area, go through a hell of an experience every day. The cluster of potholes, particularly on a half kilometer stretch which has retail crafts and marble businesses, all are filled with rain water.
There are around 350 businesses which operate on both sides of the road.
For past eight years, UIT has been re-making this road every year, but due to a huge traffic of heavy vehicles that pass through it every day; the road is never in good condition. Specifically during monsoon, this road is in its worst condition.
Sanjeev Sharma, Executive Engineer responsible for road network said, “We make new road every year but it does not work. We plan to build a cemented road just after monsoon so that this problem gets permanently solved.”
“I visited the location yesterday to have a look at the condition of the road. This time, during the construction of the cemented road, we will close down the whole stretch and divert the traffic until cement dries”, he added.
Moving ahead, the UT reached Bhuwana Circle, which is well beautified by R. K. Marbles, but the roads connecting the circle are still under-developed.
