BJP Collects Fund for Uttrakhand Flood Victims
Initiating a 3-day drive of collecting fund from local public for the victims of Uttarakhand tragedy, members of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) visited various localities in the city. Through the drive, BJP expects to raise a sum of Rs. 1.5 lacs.
Initiating a 3-day drive of collecting fund from local public for the victims of Uttarakhand tragedy, members of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) visited various localities in the city. Through the drive, BJP expects to raise a sum of Rs. 1.5 lacs.
Today BJP, along with its various associates, started the drive from Town Hall, and during the course of the day, visited Bapu Bazaar, Surajpol, Marshal Chouraha, Dhanmandi and Dehli Gate. Led by Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria, they approached general public, passersby and businessmen, and collected the fund.
According to Party’s media spokesperson, Chanchal Kumar Agrawal, the drive will continue for the next two days and then, the collected amount will be deposited in BJP Disaster Relief Fund, New Delhi on 29th June.
It can be acknowledged that a similar drive was taken out by CPI (M) members in the city yesterday.
