The kit is priced at 500 rupees and contains the basic necessities enough to suffice for 15 days.
District administration has made these kits so that people can help the poor without any extra burden. The kits are quite reasonably priced. Public can buy these kits and give them to the poor people and the labour class people who are stuck because of lockdown and cannot afford to buy the basic things. Even the old and the aged who live alone and cannot move out for shopping purposes can buy these kits for their own use.
The kit has 10 kg of wheat flour, 2 kg chana dal, 1 kg of salt, 100 gms of red chilli powder, 100 gms of turmeric powder, 200 ml of cooking oil, 1 kg sugar, 100 gms tea leaves, 1 bar of soap. The kit is good wnough for 15 days. District Collector Anandi Kumar has appealed to the masses to buy these kits and help those in need.
