The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, has sanctioned the proposal of Flyover at Pratap Nagar Junction. Approval also includes on-going  4-Lane project of existing Udaipur Bypass from Pratap Nagar to Balicha Village, which will be constructed by Urban Improvement Trust (UIT).

According to R.P Sharma, Secretary, UIT, “A detailed report will be prepared for the proposal of flyover which will include required vitals of structure. Whereas 4-lane of bypass is completed from Sukher to Bhuwana. UIT was waiting for required permission from NHAI and Ministry to resume project.”

The approval includes few conditions which needs to be satisfied, such as cost of land acquisition shall be borne by UIT along with maintenance and installation of safety sign boards during construction. “UIT will have to present a pre-design of flyover which would be approved by ministry” added R.P Sharma.

Pratap Nagar Junction due to high intensity of heavy transport vehicles has caused number of road accidents and life loss. Moreover traffic jams are usual in the locality as the area falls near to Industrial Zone of Udaipur. The flyover will help in solving these problems.
