Cheques of Rs 1500 each were distributed to those residents of ward number 45 and 50 who fall under Below Poverty Line (BPL). This distribution is part of the support to BPL families given by Government under special program carried out in the entire state.

Women were seen waiting in long queues for their turn at the distribution camp held at Community Hall, Dhan Mandi.

Four hundred people have been benefitted by the scheme, said local area corporator Krishankant Kumawat who coordinated the program.

Many females were unaware as to why they were getting the aid. They, however, welcomed the step by Government and hoped that it will ease some of their burden.
