After being neglected for past 2 years, fountains located at various circles in Udaipur will be taken care of, as UMC is planning to announce fresh maintenance tenders for repairing pre-installed and recently installed water fountains.

Today, in last session of the day at UMC, Rajni Dangi, in her discussion with the committee head, emphasised on tenders for maintenance of fountains located at Shashtri Circle, Dehli Gate, Court Circle and Surajpol.

Sources informed that due to theft of water motors and other accessories from these places, even multiple tenders have failed to keep these fountains in working order. Negligence of contractors in maintenance work of various circles is another reason for their poor condition.

Rajni Dangi informed that in these fresh tenders, contractors will be bound for the maintenance work over the next 3 years and they will be responsible for any theft from the circles.
