City's Fire fighting squad strengthens with the addition of Two Fire Brigade Vehicles

In a special programme of Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC), two fire brigade vehicles were inaugurated at Town Hall premises. The move will strengthen the fire fighting squad of the city.

In a special programme of Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC), two fire brigade vehicles were inaugurated at Town Hall premises. The move will strengthen the fire fighting squad of the city.

The inauguration was carried out in the presence of esteemed guest Gulab Chand Katariya, Ex-Home Minister and MLA. With the introduction of these two vehicals, the total number of fire vehicles dedicated towards fighting fire in and around town is raised to 12.

According to Manohar Singh Powar, President Gairaj Samiti, Rs. 25 Lac and 27 Lac respectively were incurred on purchase of these two vehicles. He added that an application for Multipurpose Fire Tender is also invited after getting approval in 13th Financial Commission; they have already received approval of Rs. 5.5 crore from Help and Disaster Management Department for a Snorkel Brigade.
