Collector Rohit Gupta made a surprise visit to the MB and Janana Hospital on Wednesday and pointed out the slow rate of campus construction to PWD officials. Similarly, he reprimanded the Janana staff due to lack of proper sheets on the hospital beds.

 On Wednesday, the collector toured Medical ICU, cottage, medicine ward 6, surgery ward, Janana Hospital’s clean labor room, septic labor room, postnatal ward and antenatal ward. He also reviewed the detailed plan of the construction going on at the RNT Medical College.

He disapproved of the non-ventilated conditions of the postnatal ward saying that this ward should admit patients only after all the other wards are filled. He also found all the coolers non-functioning in the hospital premises and asked the concerned officers to install and repair them soon. Special mention was made by him in regards to cleanliness in the labor room.

Further, Rohit Gupta scrutinized the construction work of the extension of medical college, E-library, hostels, lecture theaters, super specialty wing and instructed the PWD officials to increase the rate of work while updating the day-to-day report.
