Collector Orders to remove the Mobile Towers from Schools

After the judgment of the High Court of Rajasthan, District Collector, Hament Kumar Gera has directed UIT, ADM (city) and Commissioner Municipal Council that mobile towers or BTS towers in various schools and educational organizations must be removed by September 28, 2012.

After the judgment of the High Court of Rajasthan, District Collector, Hament Kumar Gera has directed UIT, ADM (city) and Commissioner Municipal Council that mobile towers or BTS towers in various schools and educational organizations must be removed by September 28, 2012.

He has also directed that, if authorities are not able to remove some towers then they must submit the list of such towers with the reason stating why the towers could not be removed. Also, photograph of the places before and after removing the tower must be submitted as a proof in the report to be submitted on September 29.

Collector has issued orders to act against any company or school who does not help in following the orders. In such cases, all the tools and equipment will be taken into custody and the case of contempt of High Court will be charged against the defaulters.

District education officers are also required to submit the list of all the public and private schools where mobile towers are installed, and after September 28 they must also certify that the towers have been removed from those schools.
