The Traffic Management Committee held a meeting with the district collector Ashutosh A.T Pednekar in which various points to accentuate better commuting facilities for the general public were considered.

Considering the influx of various workers in the city, collector issued permit to 8-seater vehicles in related areas for which he asked the concerned officials to submit the list of major routes.

Raising concern of pollution in the city by Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, Collector Ashutosh suggested the related NGOs, police and traffic department officers to inspect the vehicles that emit high pollution and also to execute regular checking of such vehicles.

During the meeting, Muskan NGO’s Nisha Bagga suggested defensive driving and first aid training to avoid accidents. Collector considered the advice and commented that the training to begin from 3-wheel drivers also directed the commercial vehicles to install first aid kit in them.

During the meeting, the need of underpass in the city was also highlighted by Mayor. Collector ordered the department officers to mark the major points where the need of underpass is required.
