The call drop menace might take more time to get reduced; however the telecom regulator TRAI has taken effective measures to give respite to the users. From August onward, every call drop will result in addition of call amount to the account balance.

After the completion of the trial on the project, TRAI has installed devices which will monitor all mobile circles of the country. This will lead TRAI to know which company, circle, number of people, for how many minutes was the call dropped.

The officials of telecom ministry informed that the concerned mobile company will have to add the amount in the TRAI registered account of the consumer within 3 hours of call drop. This will also be regulated. The consumer will receive the amount once in a week.
