Rajasthan Health Department is on its feet on real time, to thwart the threat of the impending Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak which has reached the shores of India and now the sands of Rajasthan.

Dr Dinesh Kharadi, Chief Medical Officer of the Health Department said that MB Hospital in Udaipur has secluded a special ward for Coronavirus patients and suspects.  A two bed facility, equipped with Ventilator, Monitor, Lab, Central Oxygen system has been setup in the premises. The two bed ward will have a 24x7 support system of attending doctors and nurses. The nodal officer for the Coronavirus Department will be Dr CP Sharma, Head, PSS Department.

Rapid Response Team

The MB Hospital has got together a 13 members Rapid Reponse Team for Udaipur district.  This team will be lead by Dr Raghavendra Rao, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and will have Dr Jitendra Banjara, Narendra Singh, Dr Ishan Sharma, Prakash Salvi, Dr Deepa Togadia, Dr Jaya  Soni, Raveena Raval, Dr Dinesh Regar, Dr RK Soni, Dr Surendra Patel, Dr Anup Mangal, Dr Kanhaiya Lal Soni and Dr Kishen Yadav as members.

Dr Kharadi, CMHO also instructed all hotel and resort owners in Udaipur to get the health checkup of the foreign guests done in Room 457 at MB Hospital.  He said that the centre has a 24 hours service.  He further instructed the hotel and resort owners in and arounnd Udaipur to have the fumigation of their properties done, using Hypochloride solution and provide the foreign guests with face masks and hand sanitizers.  He warned that if the above instructions are not adhered to, legal action will be taken against the hotel or resort found guilty of violating the orders.
