COVID-19 RTPCR test in Private Hospitals will be done at a cost of Rs 500

The Chief Minister has set a cap of Rs 500 on the RT-PCR tests being conducted by Private Hospitals. He has also approved the inclusion of COVID-19 and Haemodialysis in the Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme.

73.79% vaccinations done on day 1 in Rajasthan as compared to the national average of 63.66%.

Indicating further relief for the residents in Rajasthan, the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today further reduced the cap on RT-PCR tests in private hospitals of the state.

The Chief Minister has announced that the private hospitals in Rajasthan can charge upto Rs 500 for the RT-PCR test.  Earlier the government had set the limit to Rs 800.  Ashok Gehlot has further added COVID-19 and Haemodialysis as covered diseases under the Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme, which cover nearly 1Crore 10lakh families in the state.  The total cost to the exchequer will increase by Rs 41 Crore once this is implemented on the anniversary of the scheme, which falls on 30 January.

Health Secretary Vaibhav Galriya also apprised the Chief Minister that 12,258 persons were vaccinated on day 1 of the All India Vaccination drive that began on 16 January. The total number of vaccinated persons was 73.79% on day one, as compared to the national average of 63.66%.
