The Rajasthan government has made it mandatory for people travelling from Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat to furnish Covid-19 negative report upon arrival in Rajasthan. The state government took this decision in a high level meeting held to review the covid situation in the state.

A negative RT-PCR report 72 hours prior to entering in Rajasthan is mandatory.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Since the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab have witnessed a spike in covid cases, it has become a matter of serious concern that people are being negligent in following the protocols.

The Chief Minister directed the departments of local self governments and information and public relations to re-accelerate the awareness campaigns and ensure that all the guidelines are strictly followed.

He also directed the officials concerned to encourage the eligible people to come forward for vaccination.
