UdaipurTimes, Nov 4, 2026 - Udaipur Police has cracked down on repeated offenders on the road by punishing motorists who have continued to flout traffic rules in the city. The authorities have imposed a total fine of Rs 1.90 lakh on 12 such vehicles involved in repeated traffic violations.

The police have warned that a comprehensive database of vehicles repeatedly violating traffic rules is being prepared. After identifying such vehicles and their owners, the police will ensure that Court summons are delivered directly to their homes. Challan amounts will have to be paid in the Court as per prescribed procedures. This will caution the penalised motorist against  further violations.

Superintendent of Police Dr Amrita Duhan has released a video appealing to city residents to observe traffic rules strictly.
