Cultural, Health and Sports Committee Meeting Held at UMC
The Udaipur Municipal Council’s Cultural, Health and Sports Committee Meeting was held under the directions of Dhanpal Swami, Director of the committee today. In the meeting held in the presence of Rajni Dangi, Chairperson, UMC, new names to landmarks were given and directions for building various new statues at different places in the city were issued.

Swami informed us that the committee decided to name the newly constructed dispensary, which is now operational at Goverdhan Vilas, sector-14 after the former Vice President of the country Late Bhairosingh Shekhawat. He further added, “The Sukhadhia Circle till Saheliyo ki Badhi Marg has been finally named Dr. Prabhulal Marg.”
The Ambamata Sports Ground and Sector 3 will have statues of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Swami Vivekanand respectively.
It was also decided in the meeting that the Pula Circle will be named as Acharya Devendra Pushkar Circle.
The committee also discussed on the preparations for the Hariyali Amavasya Mela.
The meeting was attended by the members of the committee, Nanalal Regar, Revenue Officer and Nitish Bhatnagar, Revenue Inspector.
