Subsequent to the District Magistrates orders on permitting public parks to open with restricted effect, the orders for amendmend in curfew zones indicate a positive trend for Udaipur.

The District Collector has ordered lifting of curfew from significant areas in the walled city.  In her orders dated 29 May, the Collector has said that curfew will continue to be imposed in the highly infected areas and from areas that are visibly delivering positive COVID19 cases.

The areas where curfew will continue till 12 June 2020 are as follows:
GhantagharPolice Station zone: Helawadi, Kanji ka Hata (Gali #2), Raoji Ka Hata, Kanod ki Haveli, Chhota Kumharwada, Peepleshwar Mahadev Gali and Gayatri marg
Dhanmandi Police Station zone: Maheshwariyon ki Sehri, Dhimbar, Bhoiwada, Holi ka Chowk, Mandi ki Naal and Teej ka Chowk (Sabji Mandi)
Surajpol Police Station zone: Kanji ka Hata (Gali #1), Naiyon ki Talai, Kheradiwada, Nayakwadi, Kumharwada, Jogiwada, Koliwada, Nada Khada, Mukherjee Chowk (Sabji Mandi), Bhatnagaro ka Mohalla

In the initial orders on 8 May, when there was a 250% growth in COVID19 cases in Udaipur over a period of 24 hours, the district administration had imposed a comprehensive curfew in all areas under the jurisdiction of the Dhanmandi Police station zone and Ghantaghar Police station zone.  Curfew had also been imposed in over 50% clusters under the Surajpol Police station zone.  However, after comprehensive sanitisation, contact tracing, testing and sampling in these zones, the infection was found to be restricted to limited areas.

Hence, today i.e. 29 May, being the last day of the 21 day curfew imposed in the above areas, the prohibitions under Section 144 of Penal Code 1973 will remain effective in 7 clusters within Ghantaghar police station, 6 clusters under Dhanmandi police station and 10 clusters under Surajpol police station.
