As part of the Smart city plan, the road from Delhi Gate to Surajpole is all set to go cable-free. Both the telephone and the electricity wires will be taken underground.

Sidharth Sihag, CEO, Udaipur Smart City Ltd (USCL) informed that an expert team from Ahmedabad visited the route and carried out a technical analysis of the same. They survey the telephone wires, high tension and low tension electricity wires.

The plan is set to be finalised in a week’s time. Once the plan is finalised the process of inviting tenders will be initiated.
