Despite orders, no effective changes in Lake Conservation

Jheel Mitra Sansthan, Jheel Sanrakshan Samiti and Dr. Mohan Singh Mehta Memorial Trust organized a shramdan at Pichola and conducted a seminar thereafter.

During the meet, discussions were made regarding the flow of sewerage and dirty rainwater in Pichola through open drains from Rang Sagar and Swaroop Sagar. The need to flush the filth from Pichola catchment through scientific apparatus is required. Also, the small rivulets connecting the lakes should be made in proper conditions.

Jheel Mitra Sansthan’s president Tej Shanker Paliwal said that despite of high court orders, no effective efforts have been made for lake cleanliness and conservation.

Dr. Mohan Singh Mehta Trust’s secretary Nand Kishore Sharma made an appeal to the administration to take help from general public to secure proper guidelines follow of lake conservation.

During the shramdaan, heaps of aquatic weed, water hyacinth, liquor bottles, polythene, household waste, coconut etc. were extracted from the lake.  Members including Ramesh Chandra Rajput, Ambalal Nakwal, Ramlal Gehlot, Durgashanker Purohit, Garima Kumawat, Priyanshi, Harshul, Kuldeepak Paliwal etc. participated.
