Dewas Project-2 nears Completion pre-monsoon

Good news awaits Udaipur as the Dewas Project-2 is nearing completion and with that, all the lakes in the city will be full to their brim before the arrival of Monsoons. The Madri Dam and the Akodda Dam work have been completed in the second phase.

It took nearly 9 years and 4 months for the project to be completed. The biggest reason of delay was that the contractor left the job in between. It is to consider that Gulab Chand Kataria and PHED Minister Kiran Maheshwari are putting their efforts to complete the project.

With the completion of Dewas Project-2, the Madri and Akodda Dam water will flow into Fateh Sagar and Pichola. In case of overflow in them, the water will flow to Udaisagar. Followed by Vallabhnagar, Badgaon and Ghosundu Dam, the extra water will reach Bilaspur.
