Fans and well wishers of IG Dinesh MN have a lot to rejoice as he has been acquitted by Mumbai Court.

Mumbai Court has finally acquitted IG Dinesh MN(SP at the time of encounter) from the Soharabuddin encounter case. Along with Dinesh MN, Police officer DG Banjara of Gujarat has also been acquitted from the case. Both Dinesh MN and Banajara had presented a discharge application before the court. The applications of CI Abdul Rehman, ASI Himanshu Singh and Shyam Singh have been rejected by the court. Hearing is still pending for ASI Narayan Singh, Constable Yuddhveer Singh and Kartar Singh.

Fans on hearing the news about Dinesh MN started merry making and even wrote “Jai Hind” on social media. It may be noted that as per CBI’s reports there were 35 accused in Soharabuddin encounter case. Along with a BJP leader, IPS of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan were among the 35 accused persons. Until now based on the hearings, Amit Shah, Gulab Chand Kataria, Vimal Patni, the then DGP of Gujarat DC Pandey, Present DGP Geeta Jauhari, Subramanyam IG of Andhra Pradesh, IPS Rajkumar Pandyan of Gujarat, OP Mathur, Chudasma, DYSP Narendra Ameen, Ajay Patel , Yashpal Chudasma and Head constable Dalpat Singh have been acquitted by the court. The same facts as were presented by the aforesaid in their discharge applications, were presented by Himanshu Singh, Shyam Singh and Abdul Rehman. The court rejected the application of these 3 people and accepted for the other 13.
