District Administration today announced steps towards targeting certain mass level problems within the district.
District Administration today announced steps towards targeting certain mass level problems within the district. Steps were announced towards speeding up of pension payments, improving power supply in villages and for improving understand and solving problem of masses by conducting public hearings on a fortnightly basis.
Ashutosh A.T Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur informed that whole district is divided into 8 blocks on basis of election constituency. Each block has an RAS officer appointed to monitor and tackle the problems faced in their allotted blocks. These officers have now been mandated to organize 2 public hearing every month. This is targeted towards speedy addressing of the problems.
Secondly, there is a delay in payments related to disbursement of pension for state employees and NREGA. Currently, Block level post offices are provided with respective pension amount, which after sorting are transferred to branch level post offices. To solve this, next month onwards, pension amount will be distributed directly to branch level post offices.
To improve accountability at GSS (Grid Sub Station), district administration with identify technicians at each GSS and they will be marked to respective shifts. This strive for accountability is expected to improve efficiency with the objective of providing electricity for at least 23 hours, at least on single phase, throughout a day.
