District Collector discusses Several issues in the fortnightly Meeting

Vikas Bhale has instructed officials to take necessary action against illegally constructed places of faith say temples, shrines etc. which obstruct the traffic in the midst of busy roads. He referred 12 cases under UIT, 40 cases under Municipal board and 34 such cases of encroachments under PWD and asked the concerned authorities to transfer these holy sites elsewhere.
Later, when the collector sought review of the action to control illegal sale of Gutkhas, Ragini Agarwal, Additional CMHO informed that 18583 packs of Gutkhas have been seized from 172 shops and destroyed.
The collector instructed officials to form three joint committees under the aegis of U.I.T. and Municipal Board to identify illegal constructions in No Construction Zones and then come down heavily on them.
Collector further asked the District Treasury Officer to ensure regularity in pension payments, by facilitating villagers with opening of accounts in banks or post offices. He was apprised of 28 adulterated specimens of milk products by CMHO, against which appropriate action had been initiated.
Bhale instructed PWD to prepare DPR for the implementation of the Chief Minister’s announcements, regarding Tribal Sports Academy, to be sent to the State Sports Boards. He instructed the concerned Officers to accelerate the process of identifying obstructions in rivers/ponds/reservoirs and the task of demarcation.
Vikas Bhale instructed the officers to transfer the offices of PHC Savina and Child Welfare Project and intimate within a week. He took up the illegal encroachment issue in Guru Nanak colony and asked UIT officials to look in to the matter.
Bhale asked the officers to expedite the process of sending Demand to the Chief Executive so that electricity may be provided to Rajiv Gandhi Centers in the district.
Finally, before the close of meeting, the Collector also instructed UIT and Municipal Board to remove illegal hoardings, advertisements, posters on poles and ascertain penalty to be levied against the wrongdoers.
