Directives have been issued by the District supply department that domestic gas cylinders are not to be used for public events like weddings functions etc. District Supply Officer has notified all caterers, food vendors and vatika owners that if domestic gas is used for any event or function and/or if commercial gas cylinders are used illegally for the purpose of cooking, strict action will be taken and all cylinders will be seized.

It may be noted that in the recent past, there have been news of gas cylinders bursting during programmes which has also resulted in casualties. All concerned are hereby warned that legal connections but not domestic gas should be used for any event of function.
