Udaipur administration is tightening their belts to follow the Court’s order over “No Construction Zone”.  However, the petitioner Rajendra Razdan is annoyed with the rumors circulating in the city by some unauthorized sources on the issue of demolition.

Razdan reacted today after news was published in media on the meeting held by District Collector on Sunday 21 Oct, with officials of all related departments.

Razdan told UT, “due to misleading news some people are misinterpreting the court’s order.”

“No demolition will be carried out other than those mentioned in the orders”, said Razdan, after reading news of demolishing illegal construction in the newspaper.  Razdan also stated that he was completely unaware about the meeting.

On the other hand, District Collector, Vikas Sitaram Bhale today made it clear in a telephonic conversation with UT correspondent that whatever has been published in the Media today about the issue of demolition of illegal constructions is not an official press release.  He said that the meeting was completely an administrative meeting.

Bhale told UT, “Sometimes exaggeration on any issue might cause misperception in the public.”

Razdan also said that some people are completely unaware of the court’s decision and are creating confusion in the public; he was pointing towards the pamphlets distributed a few days back.

He said, “Demolition of the illegal construction is mainly for Wardhas, Fateh Prakash and Singhal’s Bungalow, then why the rumors are spread that administration wants to pull down even poor people’s houses, who are residing there since long time.”

Razdan said, “The Hon. Court has already exempted many areas from “No Construction Zone”, so why people are misinterpreting the Court’s decision; there is a channel of law for implementation of its own decisions”.
