Naresh Salecha, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Ajmer, has carried out inspection of the meter gauge railway line between Udaipur and Jawar Mines in a cart today. The DRM has revealed a number of plans for City Station, including installation of escalators and double lines.

According to Salecha, establishment of new railway lines between Himmat Nagar and Udaipur is not provisioned for in current railway budget. The railway minister has focused on old projects which have remained pending for many years.

In a new development for Udaipur city, escalators will be installed on city station soon, with tenders already being invited for installation. The facility would be added in another 7 to 8 months. Salecha added that Ajmer Railway is also considering doubling lines for city, a move which would help the parallel crossing of train.

Narendra Salecha reached Udaipur on Sunday afternoon. During his visit, he also inspected railway lines of Dungarpur Division and of other areas nearby, including automated crossing and meter gauge lines.

The railway police have been given a memorandum for arresting Rajesh Mehta under the Railway Act. Rajesh Mehta was accused for not buying a platform ticket on Rana Pratap Railway Station on the 24^th of May this year.

Salecha added that the newly constructed hotel outside city station will also be in operation soon. The project has been looked after by Rajasthan Tourism Department, which will also look to develop new facilities for tourists coming to Udaipur.
