Rs 23 Crore have been proposed for the development of Eco parks in and around the forests of Udaipur. This 11 Eco Park development project has been initiated by the Forest department, as per RK Jain, Forest Officer, Udaipur South.

The Forest office has claimed that Udaipur will be the exclusive region in the state where such a large number of Eco parks will be developed.

Jain also said that regulations and policing will be introduced to ensure that eco park development does not result in the adverse situations seen in tourist spots.  He said that monitoring will also ensure garbage is not strewn around the eco parks ensuring the sanctity of the forest ecosystem. Regulated and controlled eco parks development will also ensure that specified areas are marked for visitors, ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Ubeshwar, Nandeshwar, Banki, Bedwas, Machchlamagra, Harnia hills, Risala, Ekling and such areas will be included in the drive to develop eco parks in the region.
