The unsecured electricity boxes are an open invitation to mishaps. Open wires are left on road through which current passes continuously which can be disastrous.

Members of Power Committee of Municipal Corporation inspected the work of electricity done from Shakti Nagar to Ashok Nagar main road on Wednesday. The inspection was done in the absence of Committee President Mahesh Trivedi.

A lot of irregularities were observed, hence members asked Corporation Commissioner to take action against this. The team comprising of Raashid Khan, Pravin Marwari, Pankaj Bhandari and Suresh Yadav discovered that the power unit was installed by ABB Company. As per Raashid Khan, the power unit did not have any connection in it. This could result in the unit being stolen. It was also pointed out that approximate worth of each unit is 4 lakh rupees. Even the RM cable was not connected to the unit. Raashid Khan also said that the distance between Ashok Nagar and Shakti Nagar is merely 650 metres but around 4500 metres of LT and HT has been shown.

Even the wires are lying open which are an open invitation to accidents. Work is lying incomplete but the firm working on this electricity line spread over has been paid maximum amount. Members have appealed to mayor and Commissioner to look into this matter and take necessary action at the earliest.
