Chief Administrative Secretary Manjeet Singh has given his consent on lighting up certain areas in the city with LED lights. Around 2000 LED light bulbs will be installed in the areas which have been covered in darkness till now.Proposal for an elevated road has also been accepted to lessen the ever growing traffic.  Along with these developments, another important step will be STP plants for water purification.  3 such STP plants will be installed in the city.  This information was given by Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari on Friday on the 112^th foundation day of International Rotary in the Rotary Bajaj Bhawan, Rani Road.  He also mentioned about the ongoing repair work from Gumaniyanawala to Swaroop Sagar.

No Vehicle zone

The Mayor also said that steps are being taken to reduce the pressure of traffic in the areas of Jagdish Chowk, City Palace, Chandpole for which purpose these areas will be converted to no-vehicle zone very soon.  Land out side the Taiyyabah School is also proposed to be converted into a public parking area.
