Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain instructs removal of encroachments along construction route to ensure smooth flow of traffic on service road
Udaipur, April 5, 2025 - Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain carried out an inspection of the construction work of the city's first Elevated Road which is being built from the city railway station to Banshi Pan. He was accompanied by former Councillor Arvind Jaroli, Mukesh Sharma, Bharat Joshi, BJP leader Deepak Boliya, Jitendra Maru, Nagar Nigam's Additional Chief Engineer Mukesh Pujari, Assistant Engineer Sunil Prajapat and others.
During the inspection, MLA Jain spoke with the engineers, emphasising on the need to pay close attention to the quality of the pillars. He examined the pillars and inquired about their width and depth. He then walked from the City Station to beyond Nataraj Hotel to inspect the construction work going on. Jain instructed Udaipur Nagar Nigam officials to identify and mark structures in the way of the petrol stations at Udiapol and accordingly align and remove encroachments along the road boundary. He advised removal of encroachments on the work route, including stalls outside the railway station, to allow vehicles to easily pass through the service road while construction is going on.
MLA Jain asked Nagar Nigam officials about the centre of the road after the Elevated Road is constructed. The officials explained that currently the road is narrow in the City Station lane but when the centre is adjusted, the road will shift by four feet towards the Nataraj Hotel lane after which both sides of the road will have equal width.
