National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has finally issued tenders for elevated road between Udipole and Court Circle. The plan was in consirderation but it took 10 long years for the finalisation of the same.

Elevated road between 2 important places of Udaipur city is likely to lessen the load of traffic on Town Hall road, Bapu Bazar, Surajpole, Delhi Gate and Collectorate road. This elevated road will henceforth be termed as NH-927 A. This parallel elevation will run from Udiapole to Surajpole and Town Hall. Then from Waqf board building at Delhi Gate to RNT Medical College and end at Ambedkar Circle.

Estimated budget for this elevated road is 114.89 crore rupees. Tenders will open online from the month of May. Approximately 2 years will be required for the construction of elevated road. As per sources, CM Vasundhara Raje had given instructions last year in 2017 to National Highway Board for constructing elevated roads in Udaipur and Bikaner. Rock quality test for this elevated road was done almost one year back to assess the strength of underlying structure.
