Forest department has taken up the onus of development and maintenance of the Paal (promenade) at Badi Lake. Towards development and maintenance of the Paal, a ticket of Rs 10 will be charged for all visitors to the Paal. Video Cameras will be charged at Rs 600/-.

Currently there are over 100 visitors to the Paal of Badi Lake daily and this number sees a significant jump over the weekend.

Forest department has barricaded both the ends of the Paal by putting up gates. Staff will also be deployed for security purpose.

Deputy Forest Conservator, T.Mohanraj informed that the ticket fee collected will be deposited with Eco-development committee and development work will be undertaken via the same.

Regular cleaning of the Paal has been already initiated. UIT has taken the onus of development of the park adjacent to the Paal.
