A facelift of Udaipur roads is in the pipeline. A meeting held by UIT on Friday proposed that certain areas in Udaipur need to be beautified for which the architects will put in their ideas and then decide about the development works to follow.

A 3-member committee has been made for this purpose. UIT Secretary Arun Hasija held a meeting with 25 architects and discussed the matter. The meeting was also attended by DTP Ritu Sharma, SE Sanjeev Sharma, XEN Anit Mathur, Neeraj Mathur and Vimal Mehta.

UIT Secretary suggested that the beautification work must commence but it must be kept in mind that the basic structure of the lake is not disturbed. This was with respect to the facelift of Rani Road. It may be noted that High Court is constantly monitoring the lakes of Udaipur.

A committee comprising of architect Rajendra Mantri, Sanjeev Gupte and Sunil Ladhdha was formed who will present a proposal before UIT on 15th November after discussing the facelift procedures with other architects. The development work will begin after technical experiments and a proper site observation.
