District Administration has introduced Farmer Market Concept which will be launched soon in the city. The farm products will be directly sold by farmers to the customers. The decision was taken in a meeting held with Horticulture Department.

Ashutosh A.T Pednekar, District Collector, Udaipur, informed that the farmers of district will be introduced to direct market. The activity will help farmers to get the best price for their products, while consumer will get pure and healthy food stuff.

Pednekar added that participating farmers will also be trained to grow high selling products, which will include dairy products, honey, strawberries and vegetables.

The venue of farmer market will be finalized by this week. This activity will be organized on weekly basis.
