To squeeze the poor traffic conditions on the roads of Udaipur, Traffic Police has started an awareness campaign among motorists. Every morning from 9:30 to 10:30 traffic police will check all the vehicles passing from main circles of the city and ensure that none of the vehicle owner breaks any traffic law.

To weed out the poor traffic conditions on the roads of Udaipur, the Traffic Police has started an awareness campaign among motorists.  Every morning from 9:30 to 10:30 traffic police will check all the vehicles passing from main circles of the city and ensure that none of the vehicle owner breaks any traffic law.

For an hour, police will react swiftly and suggest the motorists to carry their driving license, wear helmets and drive slow, while rest of the day police will act strictly and fine the offenders.

The campaign has started under the direction of Hariprasad Sharma, S. P. Udaipur City and will continue till the next order turn up.

According to Hemant Soni, Sub-Inspector (Traffic), the checking will be at all main centers of the city, “We will stop vehicles breaking laws, motorists riding without helmets, riding with 2 people, rash drivers, bikes and two-wheelers with fancy number plates, riders moving with face covered in scarf, cars with dark/black window glasses, etc.”, said Soni.

Soni continued, “All vehicles, including private and local transports will be scanned and we will try to advice them and beware them of laws, but after an hour we will act strictly and fine the offenders”.

“Those who are riding wearing scarf will be asked to wear helmet, as it will solve both the issues of pollution and safety”, he stated.

Udaipur citizens are requested to follow the traffic rules, as these are made for people’s own safety and ease.
