To promote environment awareness, wildlife conservation and love for nature, Forest Department’s Wildlife Dept. organized tour to Sitamata reserve and Jakham on Sunday.

Deputy Forest Conservator Suhail Majbur informed that the group of 70 travelers began their trip at 6 AM to Sitamata Reserve where eco-trekking was organized. Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma and Mukesh Saini informed all about the flora and fauna found in the jungle.

From Aarampura, the group reached Jakham dam which welcomed all travelers with green, cloud covered mountains and scenic beauty. The group moved forward to Punga Lake.

On 16th August, 40 individuals will be taken for the eco-trek Bassi Reserve-Menal waterfall. The interested people can register with Kantilal Punmia on 9461048788 or visit Forest Department Building, Chetak Circle to deposit Rs. 1130 per person.
