The foundation stone was set up for Maharana Pratap Indoor Stadium at Khelgaon today. The chief guests of the program were Rajnath Singh Central Home Minister and Vasundhara Raje Chief Minister of State.

While addressing the crowd, Raje said that Sports Planning will start from 21st June. The stadium with the capacity of 4500 audience will have 9 badminton courts, handball, basketball, netball, kho-kho, kabbaddi etc courts.

Raje said that Tourism and Sports are related and it is necessary to develop Sports Facility in state. She said that every Gram Panchayat will have sports ground so that every skilled athlete will get opportunity to develop his/her skills.

Rajnath Singh said that India’s authority is growing as an important part in Global Diplomacy and Global Politics. No county can ignore India and with such growing power it is important that youth should enhance their skills.

While narrating qualities of Maharana Pratap, Singh said that Pratap is a source of Inspiration for everyone. By going through Maharana Pratap’s history one can understand the life style of Rajasthan in its true form. To honor such a great hero, Government of India has decided to mark the Pratap Jayanti (birth anniversary) in grand level.
