Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurated the Golden Park on the banks of the lake that houses other historic attractions like Lake Palace and the favourite wedding destination Jag Mandir.

At the event held today morning, the Home Minister said that with three tourist attractions added beyond Dudh Talai banks, viz. Jungle Safari park, Pratap Park and now the Golden Park, Pichhola Lake bank has become the favourite destination for nature lovers and tourists alike.

The Yellow flower themed Golden Park, with its inauguration being done on the auspices of the Udaipur Bird Festival, will, in its second phase of development, showcase dummy statues of the extince dinosaur species. This will be an interesting visit for children especially. A herbal garden is also planned on the same premises.

Forest officials who are deputed near the statues of leopard and panther, will explain visitors on the daily activities of the jungle cats, their feeding habits and hunting patterns. The lotus area will also house yellow flowers. A mini jungle has also been developed in this park, which will simulate the forest environment for visitors.

MP Arjun Lal Meena, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, UIT Chairman Ravindra Srimali among other dignitaries were earlier welcome by Dy Forest Conservator, RK Jain.
