Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) finally considers required amendments for starting Golf Carts at Fatehsagar Pal. The traffic will be diverted from pal entrance and gates of parking would be kept open for Golf Carts.

The service was discontinued soon after it was launched.The prevailing reason was undirected traffic and other technical problems.

According to Rajni Dangi, Mayor, UMC, “The team from corporation has already surveyed area to find solution of listed problem. A report presented by team suggests that traffic would be kept one sided, which means vehicles coming from Bambiya Bazaar will have to exit from overflow side of lake, while entry from overflow side to Bambiya Bazaar will be restricted.”

Mayor further added that the other problem was gates installed at Pal to stop traffic. It will be kept open for Golf Carts only and no other vehicles will be allowed to cross gates.

According to Jagdish Sukhwani, Golf Cart Operator, “Talks with administration are in final phase. Soon the service will be started for locals and tourists.”

He further informed, “In past 9 months these cars were parked ideally. Although we had work orders to start operations but due to traffic problems, we had to discontinue.”
