The City Railways Station is expected to have 4 golf carts to ferry the senior citizens, differently abled people and patients directly to their train coaches.

The battery operated golf carts will get immediate permission if any organized club, institution or NGO agrees to run them. Divisional Rail Manager Naresh Salecha says that around 50% passengers who travel by train are tourists. People coming to Udaipur for operation and treatment also travel in train for whom this facility will help at large.

Such facilities are already running in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangaluru with the help of general public. Udaipur will also be next in line to commence easy, pollution free facilities for all.
