Sports lovers of Udaipur have another grand reason to be happy. A multipurpose indoor hall worth 7.22 crores is ready.

Udaipur has had many sports lovers since ages who made a name for themselves and also brought fame to the city. A multipurpose indoor hall has been constructed to enhance the sport senses of people since this hall will be seeing tournaments of International level in the near future. 7.22 crores were invested and MLSU sports board monitored the “Making of” this indoor hall.

The indoor hall will be made open in August. Sports lovers will be able to practice in this multipurpose indoor hall where all modern facilities have been made available. Those with a flair for sports had been waiting long for a facility as good as this. Until now, monsoons prevented the sports lovers from practicing since the university did not have such a facility.

MLSU has been able to bag only 3 golds in the past 4 years in All India University ranking in the field of sports. With this indoor hall facility now, the University will now be hosting West Zone Inter University Basketball tournament. Porf. CR Suthar, Chairman of Sports Board said that the indoor hall will now have basketball, badminton, gymnastics, net ball, kabaddi, wrestling, boxing, judo-wushu etc. tournaments of international level. The operative framework of the indoor hall will be decided in a meeting on 25^th July.

The indoor hall is going to be a special feature not only for the sportsmen but also for the audience. Three audience galleries have been made in the hall. These will accommodate 1500 viewers. Special parking facility has also been provided. It is expected that the indoor hall will be an addition to the facilities given to the sportsmen. It will now be easy to create more talent in the field of sports, especially on international level.

Prof. Vijay Shrimali, Officer in charge of Real Estate, said that talents of a sportsman will be polished through indoor hall and they will be able to perform better.
