To ensure that benefits of Government scheme for “specially-able” person reach out to the right people, a door-to-door survey was started from today.

To ensure that benefits of Government scheme for “specially-able” person reach out to the right people, a door-to-door survey was started from today.

Informing about the survey, Mandata Singh Ranawat, Deputy Director Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Udaipur informed in a meeting at Sukhadia Rangmanch that by December, they are targeting to list all physically challenged persons from each house.

Singh told that persons affected with blindness, low-vision, leprosy-cured, Hearing impairment, locomotors disability, mental retardation, mental illness will be benefited. Various benefits for these people include pension program for the disabled, self employment program, provision for artificial organs, provision of motorized wheel chairs, resettlement of the mentally disabled, old age homes, residential hostel facilities for the disabled, schools for the disabled and many other beneficiary planning.

Door to door survey will be carried out by “Asha Sahiyoginiyan”, Anganbadi volunteers” & “ANMs”.

SDM (Girwa) Pushpendra Singh Sekhawat, Nodal officer deputed by the District Collector and Commissioner MCU were present on the occasion.
