Hardik Patel and his supporters have been arrested from Naya Gaon in Neemuch,Madhya Pradesh while they were going to meet the families of victims of the Kisan Andolan.

Hardik Patel, JDO Secretary Akhilesh Katiyar, Gehrilal Dangi and some other party members were stopped by police when they were on their way to Mandsaur. The team was arrested by CRPF and Police near Naya Gaon Toll center. They were taken to the ADM and then dropped off at Nimbaheda. Hardik supporters displayed agitation after the incidence.

Hardik was on his way to meet the distressed farmers and families of those who were killed in police firing in Mandsaur. As per SP Abhishek Diwan, Hardik was arrested to prevent the commission of cognizable offences. The Patidar Andolan leader was picked up on his way to Mandsuar with his supporters who have also been put under arrest. Hardik Patel retorted upon arrest saying that he was not a terrorist and he doesn’t hail from Lahore. Patel and Katiyar were released on bail and dropped in Nimbaheda in police vehicles.
