Train from Udaipur to Haridwar was supposed to be flagged off on 24th July. It has now been postponed to 28th July.

Launch of Haridwar express has been postponed to 28th July adding to the disappointment of public. The city was in full swing to rejoice the operations of train from Udaipur to Haridwar when suddenly the postponement has dropped down the fun. Even last year, the schedule of the same train was changed 2 days prior to the fixed date. This is the second time that operation of this train has been delayed. The news of postponement has been confirmed by DRM Punit Chawla from Ajmer. All arrangements for the inauguration of Haridwar express had been made. 20 cabins for the express train had reached Udaipur on Wednesday. At the moment, after mechanical tests, the train is awaiting inauguration while in parking lines of Rana Pratap station.

DRM Chawla reported that the Railway Minister is short of time. As per the pre-decided schedule, the Railway minister was supposed to flag off Hardwar express on 24th July through video conferencing. He is now unavailable due to some urgent schedules, hence the launch has been deferred . The train will now begin its operations around 2:30 p.m. on 28th July. Councillor Meena said that since Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria is extremely busy in assembly sessions, he will not be available for the inauguration. Udaipur Councillor Arjun Lal Meena along with Chittor Councillor CP Joshi have also confirmed the delay in launch of Haridwar express.
