Hariprasad Sharma (IPS) will be taking charge as the Superintendent of Police, Udaipur on Wednesday 2^nd May 2012.

Hariprasad Sharma, a 1958 Batch officer was previously the Superintendent of Police, Nagaur City, and has taken charge from Alok Vashistha, who has now been elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) – Intelligence.

Alok Vashisth was given a warm farewell by the Police Department, Udaipur on 30^th April 2012 at the Seminar hall of the Collectorate, where all officers including Circle Officer and SHO of various police Stations of the city. Alok Vashisht had handed over charge to Kaluram Rawat, Additional Superintendent of Police till Hariprasad Sharma assumes chair.

According to sources, Hariprasad Sharma will take charge on 2^nd May 2012 around 11 am, while the orders were passed on 21^st April 2012 by the Jaipur Headquarters.
