Disaster Management, Relief & Civil Defence Department, Jaipur has issued an advisory to Udaipur administration to be on alert considering the likelihood of heavy rainfall in Udaipur division.

Post the advisory, Udaipur Collector has put all departments related to disaster management and relief in Udaipur on alert and to ensure that all preparations are made to deal with any mishaps.

Weather information site Skymet Weather reported that the next 2-3 days could see heavy to very heavy rainfalls in East and South East regions of Rajasthan including Udaipur, Kota, Pali, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Banswara, Jhalawar, Ajmer, Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur.

These rains are on account of westward movement of low-pressure area that is present over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and Southeast Uttar Pradesh. This low pressure is expected to move westwards towards Rajasthan bringing in heavy showers.

In light of this Rajasthan may witness showers over next 3-4 days and may cause localised flooding and water logging.
